Vocal Debut Approaching

My vocal debut in Los Angeles in just around the corner and I have to admit I’m a little bit nervous! I’m sure it will all be fine and everything will go well, but it is always scary to try something new. I do believe, however, that good things come from taking risks and therefore, I feel as though this is a risk worth taking. We are always are own worst critics, so I’m probably self-conscious and nervous over things that only I think about.

The performance is going to be a lot of fun, I have some great musicians accompanying me and I get to give attendees a preview of the new album (which I’ve been working on for two years now)! I’m really excited to finally share some of this music, music that I’ve been ‘keeping to myself’ for what seems like far too long. It is also going to be the first show at which I sell the album single (something I am also excited about).

The next single from the album is going to be released in the next month or so; I think it may be the best song from the album yet, and I hope you agree. I know I already listed the other two singles, but I will do it again:
No One to Catch Me – an original composition and the first vocal song from the album
Falling Slowly – a cover of the song by The Frames and the only instrumental song from the album
The upcoming single is entitled ‘Only One’ and I cannot wait for it to be out.

The artwork is done, so you can see that 🙂

Summer is almost over which means my third semester as a Master’s student is coming to a close. My dissertation is due mid-September (that’s scary). I can’t believe how fast this past year went by…

I’ll post more soon when the new single is closer to completion. And oh… did I mention the second classical EP is ALSO almost done? L’Hiver is currently being mixed and will be available soon.
